Revised and revisited, the original 1982 edition, back in print for the first time in forty years. Written with the full co-operation of the original band members, Growing Up With Johns Children is the story of that most legendary of 1960s freakbeat/psych bands, throughout the group's own life time and on into the future - a span that includes Jook, Jet and Radio Stars, Sparks and Marc Bolan, the A-Jaes and the 4-Squares, Ian's Radio and the Dickies, and more. Fully revised but not updated, Growing Up With John's Children documents twenty years of music, madness and mayhem, set to the beat of some of the greatest songs of the age, and related in the words of the people who lived it.
