Ed Michel is a college basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Basketball is his life, leaving no room for anything else, including love. Ed's best friend, Bob Cony, is the President and CEO of the largest entertainment production company in the state of Wisconsin. He drags Eddie up to Minneapolis for a concert while conducting a little business. At the concert, they are witness to a Grammy nominated group called Senses with nothing but promise in the light of day, but untenable problems behind the scenes. Patricia Hayes and Faith Peeples are known as the sensational pop group, Senses. They have finally made the big time, just coming into their own, on the cusp of true superstardom. The only problem is, they want a new label, a fresh start on the business end, different representation. Jeff Matchette, a California transplant from his New Jersey mob days, is the owner of their record label. He meant to start fresh, stay legitimate, but the old habits were hard to break. Though married, he begins a relationship with Faye Peeples, and as with anything he puts his hands on, it turns nasty and tainted. Faye gets involved in drugs and alcohol and begins dragging Senses down. After finishing the concert in Minneapolis and with Bob Cony's help, they travel down to Milwaukee in an attempt to escape Jeff's poisonous hold on them. Pat desperately tries to stem the tide of their imminent spiral down into oblivion as Faith's condition quickly deteriorates. Then, tragedy ensues. Now, Pat is a target that Jeff won't stop chasing until she is silenced. With nowhere else to go, she turns to Bob and Eddie for help. They, in turn, call in their friends, Louie Netz, a Milwaukee cop, Rex Kramer, one of Bob's most trusted employees and Jerry Zucker, a close friend and colleague of Pat Hayes and Faith Peeples. While the group protects Pat from Jeff and his henchmen, Pat and Eddie find something both had sought for years without success, love. As their relationship intensifies, they are on the run from a determined and professional lethal force that will stop at nothing to silence Pat forever. The action spans the entire city of Milwaukee and it doesn't seem to ever let up. It culminates in a warehouse where it comes down to good against evil, right against wrong, but in the real world, good doesn't always win and right doesn't always prevail. What will the outcome be this time?
