Why would you chop off your own arm? It is stupid, it hurts, and it's permanently debilitating. It is a very easy task to avoid chopping off your arm. You do it all day long, every day. In fact, it is very easy to stop thinking about it. Try it yourself. You simply move on without any mental or emotional struggle at all.




The reason it is easy to avoid thinking one second, much less actually considering such a crazy thought is because you know for an absolute certainty it is stupid. There is no question in your mind like, "Hmmm, should I chop this off or not?" You know there is no upside and it is crystal clear you will not be better off by doing so.




There are lots of truths you know at least that well or even better. Lots. But what are we missing? What profound truth have we yet to find? What wonder lies hidden among the lies? I was missing some profound truths for most of my lifetime and had no clue that was the case. This is the story of uncovering profound truths so that you won't cut off your arm, so to speak.
