How do you explain the concept of death to a young child? It is difficult enough for an adult to understand. Similarly, different cultures and religious beliefs complicate how a child may view this transition from life to the afterlife. The nondenominational nature of this text allows the reader and care-giver to "fill in any gaps" for the child, to accommodate their own religious or spiritual belief system.
