Amber is a young girl living in an abusive home. I was going to give a disclaimer saying that this story was fictional and any incidents similar to real life people or incidents are coincidental. I couldn't do that; it would be telling a lie. This story is a fictionalized truth of things I experienced as a child. With that I dedicate this book my my mom Carol Hendley. It's been fifteen years since she passed away. I regret not telling her what was happening to me. I also forgive you mom for being abusive to me physically. Whoa, just saying that and knowing people are going to read this is a relief in itself. So to all of those who suffer in silence find a healthy way to release pain. Speak up and don't be afraid to say something to someone about what you're going through. All families have secrets there are some things, however, that we should share.
