The Water Michael a a Barber

I never intended to spend most of my life on the water. People, places and events have come and gone, but the water has been constant. It has been a love affair. It provided all the adventure I ever wanted. It was the strongest influence to my coming of age. While I've "learned" a lot, the water gave it meaning. Looking backwards through fifty years of adventures it all seems so natural. Of course it is easier now that the hard parts are settled and the good parts are happy memories. Like sunshine we are aware of it in the moment, but we really do not think about it much. When we remember it later, it still warms us.
