Cassidy Coleman is a sassy, but rather introverted college sophomore out on her own for the first time ever in her young adult life. At the start of fall semester, she moves into an apartment along with a randomly assigned roommate from her university, Lauren Delaney. Lauren is a an outgoing and athletic economics major one year ahead of Cassidy in school, and is just looking for a place to live that doesn't also double up as a party house on the weekends.

And from day one, Cassidy is smitten.

Unfortunately for her though, things are more than a little awkward between the two of them for the first several weeks of the new semester, with Cassidy too tongue-tied to properly carry on more than a two sentence conversation before needing to flee to her bedroom. Eventually though, the two bond over a mutual love of video games from their childhood one evening, and overnight an instant and lifelong friendship is forged.

From there friendship soon blossoms into love, but with a twist.

Cassidy is a total brat and loves nothing more than to find excuses to push her long-suffering roommate's buttons. Not too long after their friendship is formed, they fall into a routine of Cassidy seeing how far she can push things before Lauren finally snaps and scolds her. It's a fun game of cat and mouse that they both enjoy, but one day things take a step further when Cassidy ends up pushing her best friend into a freezing pool on a chilly winter night! Laughing uproariously at her sputtering roommate, she suddenly finds herself being draped across her lap for a well-earned spanking.
