Born into an orthodox Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York at the start of World War II, Rebeccah recounts her struggle to break free from a restrictive, controlling, angry world. She charms the reader as she takes them through personal struggles and deep loss to a point of healing, forgiveness, and growth. Rebeccah's interviewer, Anise, finds inspiration and strength from the story, ultimately reconciling her own family history with her life and choices of today.
