From the fall of 2012 to 2017, De'Sean Stacy was pen pals with a young beautiful girl from Sydney, Australia. Whenever she would visit Los Angeles they got together for movies, dinners, and hikes up the Hollywood Trail. Their chemistry was incredible but she lived over two thousand miles away across the seas. De'Sean didn't deem it feasible for them to grow beyond a good time with her living so far away. Finally, after one of her extended visits they made the jump, and in early spring of 2018 they got engaged. Soon after, she packed her bags and moved to the U. S. ready to begin the next chapter of her life. In the blink of an eye, the relationship imploded and a couple of months later, she flew back to Australia, pregnant. WUBAS is a tell-all memoir of their volatile, transient relationship and what happens next; as well as the spiritual experiences De'Sean undergoes on his radical odyssey of self-love. After nicknaming his daughter Chubba Wubas because of her chubby face, he later abbreviated it to just Wubas. One night in the middle of his sleep he realized the acronym in Wubas (Win Under Beautifully Adverse Situations) was the perspective he needed to develop to grow into his higher-self.
