There I was stuck to the bed for what seemed to be hours. I had globs of icy hot down my back, three packs of ice piled up on top of that, and a big jug of ice water to help me down the endless supply of ibuprofen. The cherry on top of this nightmare I'd call back pain, was the fact that my family was waiting at the airport getting ready for to a flight to the Happiest place on Earth, Disney World. And guess where I was? Not at that airport! I was suffering alone with back pain. Back pain that was so brutal that I could barely breath, let alone go on vacation. I was beyond frustrated at this point. I was just about to enter school to become a doctor of physical therapy, but couldn't even fix my own back troubles. It was in my mind a cruel joke. But missing that flight was the true breaking point for me; I knew I had to cure my back pain to avoid missing out on any more special moments in life. To do this I began a journey to seek out experts in all corners of health care (physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, personal trainers, yoga experts, pilates experts, professors, physicians, and even aroma therapists to name a few...). In this journey I compiled the best treatments from each field to fix my back. While Improved, my back pain wasn't fully relieved. In turn I experimented further to mix and modify these treatments to create a new hybrid, self-treatment approach. It was like magic, once I created my self-treatment system my back pain was 100% gone. The best part about it though was that fact that it stayed gone! Since that journey years ago, I've applied my self-treatment approach to hundreds of folks suffering with back pain in my own practice and even online. I've taught them how to not only fix their backs but keep them fixed! This has allowed all of them to lose the medications, avoid surgery, and more importantly get back to the active life they deserve with family and friends.
