Singing Stones and Blue Trout
Philip Atkinson
A story of English country life in the mid-20th century for a young boy, orphaned and passed around several families before meeting Nelson Greenwood-the remarkable man who took him in and changed his life. "I have to tell you this in case I pop my clogs or, worse-lose my marbles and the knowledge disappears along with me. It's not of great importance; just bits of countryside lore that coloured life in the mid-20th century. I don't pass it along to be of use in and of itself-times change and circumstances require new things for people to get by. But, if I'm right, there may be a reversal of much technology, and having how-to knowledge such as I learned from Nelson Greenwood may again be of value one day." - BP
