You Can’t Eat Flowers

A 'stray' cat called Paws, a bar of lavender perfumed soap and a posy of snowdrops, entice Ellen - a young workhouse inmate in 1881 - to believe in the impossible: that Susie, barely tolerating a crumbling marriage, living in a cottage in the converted workhouse in 2018, has travelled 137 years through time, to befriend her.

Through their shadowy, silent encounters, their lives are changed, in unimaginable ways.
