Parkside, Pennsylvania police detective David Dean is recuperating from a gunshot wound in tranquil Ouray, Colorado. However, his peaceful convalescence is abruptly interrupted by five eccentric and unwanted guests, led by an obnoxious wealthy tycoon whose son and wife were murdered two years earlier.

The group's interest in the settlement of Byrd Song above the ghost town of Sneffles catapults Dean and his stepfather Fred back a century in time where much detective work is needed to find the startling answers.

Follow this mystery as it delves deeper and becomes more bizarre. The tale is set in present-day Ouray and Ridgway as well as the ghost towns that surround it in the jagged mountains of Ouray County in southwestern Colorado.
