Strawberry Rose

Rose is nine years old-almost ten-when she spends her first summer without her parents at her grandparents' lakeshore cabin. Along with their cherished dog, Goose, Rose spends time with her cousin and makes a new friend. Every day is full of fun, challenges, and surprises, from apple and berry picking to hiking, swimming, a huge dust storm, and a brush fire. With the support and love of those around her, Rose shows responsibility, develops courage, and has many memorable adventures.
