Jake Rosenthal had the world in the palm of his hand. The Olympic hero led the United States baseball team to a gold medal victory, and he was slated to be the number one overall pick in the upcoming draft. Although Jake was destined for greatness, his fate would take an unimaginable turn after a wild night at a pre draft party. Instead of fame and fortune it became depression and drugs until Gloria McDougal changed his life.

Fast forward eighteen years Jake now has a daughter named Kendall who is ranked the #1 softball player of her class in the country. Jake has been vicariously living through Kendall even pressuring her to the brink of quitting until that one somber day when she falls to the ground during her state championship game dying of a heart condition. Jake blames himself for Kendall's death and he is on the brink of insanity. Baseball and softball was his life, and he didn't want to give it up, but he had to until the day that he met the Coopers. The Coopers had a daughter named Taryn who reminded Jake of Kendall. After befriending the Coopers Jake began displaying weird and obsessive behavior towards the Coopers acting as if Taryn was his very own.

Prepare yourself for a thrilling ride as the Coopers find themselves battling to protect their daughter from a maniacal loose cannon who will stop at nothing to be a part of her softball life.
