Mrs. Peterson had mixed feelings about the evening she had planned to meet with her old friend Holly Hemmings. Holly was a well known author whose success novels over the years had been a constant source of entertainment for her old college friend and roommate.




This time something was different. She sensed it, without knowing why. As she dressed for the evening she wondered why her friend seemed unsettled, and she was soon to find out why.
