Medication Administration Training for Youth (MATY) is a competency-based medication administration training program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. It is currently approved for use in several settings: - Private schools and facilities licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), and/or the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS). - Private schools that comply with the accreditation requirements set forth in Virginia statute § 22.1-19 as administered by the Virginia Council for Private Education. The Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF) has underwritten the development of this program and curriculum. The curriculum authors are representatives from private schools for students with disabilities that are members of VAISEF.
