"Here am I! Send me!" L K Reyes

One minute I am riding in an armored tactical vehicle on a road in Afghanistan in full Army combat gear, and the next I am at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D. C, in a full hospital gown. I hear the doctor reading off a list of my destruction: 13 broken ribs, two collapsed lungs, a radial fracture with ulnar protrusion, a collar bone and hip bone fracture, two fractured vertebrae, two "missing" front teeth, a ruptured ear drum and traumatic brain injury. Later, my hospital room is filled with my own moans of agony as nurses attempt to roll me over to change my bedding. Little did I know that within 18 hours I would hear angelic words and the intense pain that I was feeling would transform to something miraculous! The first in the upcoming Peacemaker Series Books.
