Nancy Peter began writing Twenty Horses in December, 2015. At that point she had been riding horses for forty-five years but had never owned a horse. However, she had formed deep relationships with several dozen horses over those many decades - and finally found a forever horse of her own. This book describes those twenty wonderful horses; the vastly different cities, towns, and countrysides that Nancy explored on horseback; and the deep life lessons she learned along the way.
