Sandy, a poodle bichon cross, gets a new home and mother, but he isn't always on his best behaviour. Set in a small city of New Zealand, this book covers three of Sandy's adventures. First, the adventure of having a new home and living in a new neighbourhood. Then Sandy finds out the hard way that being disobedient gets you into trouble, and that you can have a bad time when you are out in the bush, lost and alone. Recuperating at a farm, the urge to chase animals is just too strong and even though Sandy wants to be good, he often gives in to his longing to be wild and free.
