Nine Lines Rhona Stace

A collection in 3 parts (Season, Notes and Urban) of word pictures and small stories, each in the form of a Triptych of Haiku. An apparently unlikely combination, Rhona Stace is a veteran police officer from New Zealand who likes to write poetry. She is also a parent and active member of her local Anglican church, enjoying a sometimes possibly too intimate relationship with God. She keeps chickens, and lives rurally with two cats and a goat. Oh, and she also just happens to be transgender. May or may not be related to Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding). Put all that together and you're going to get some pretty interesting poetry, given that she writes about pretty much anything and everything going on in her life. Nominated in the Hero category in the inaugural 2018 New Zealand LGBTI Awards, Rhona also has haiku in the 2018 edition of 100 Best Hooked on Haiku, a poem in the 2018 New Zealand Poetry Society Anthology. She has published two more collections of original poetry, entitled Two for Tea and now & then
