Night Varmints: A Kitty Adventure #2 - Kitty Adventure Donna Mae Smith

Kitty has had many adventures being a sailor and living at sea. He was even born at sea. But Kitty was allowed to leave the big boat Betty. Momma said it was too dangerous, and he was too young.

In NIGHT VARMINTS: A Kitty Adventure #2, Kitty finally gets to live on land. He loves the nighttime when all of Magnolia Grove Estate is his to freely roam. One night, nightlights and suspicious activity on the Severn River give Kitty reason for great concern. He fears for the safety of his river, for the animals, and his family.

It is not long before things get worse. Kitty and friends discover that if this evil is not stopped, the Mobjack Bay and Chesapeake Bay will be threatened with serious danger, too. After all, animal and human life depends on healthy water.

Rod returns home from the United States Naval Academy to help Captain and Kitty with their investigation. And of course, his popular companion, rough and tough MadmanMax, is once again by Kitty's side. MadmanMax's speaking skills are still very poor; but he is a great friend and helps keep Kitty out of trouble. In NIGHT VARMINTS, you will discover the magical secret Kitty and his mother, Sara, possess. This secret helps Kitty and Momma create a life-saving network between the humans and the other creatures.

Kitty makes very unusual friends. In this animal packed adventure, meet Mr. and Mrs. Great Horned Owl, the Bucks, Mr. Osprey, the Terrapins, and many others. Discover how so many animals overcome their many differences and create a life-saving team. Even as enemies, they learn to join together to save each other.

Donna Mae Grigelis Smith writes adventurous fantasy stories about animals, family, and the sea. She hopes that NIGHT VARMINT, the second book in the series, A Kitty Adventure, is as pleasing to readers as her first book, KITTY BORN AT SEA. Each book is a stand-alone read but are also fun if read in sequence. NIGHT VARMINT is great for advanced young readers, middle-grade readers, and preteens. In addition, the series is an excellent learning aid for adult learners learning English as a Second language (ESL, TESOL, TEFL learners).
