A Children's Story D L Houston

"This is the best book in the series!" Alan H. In the 3rd book of the charming and classic children's Christmas series - A Children's Story, the time is the day after Halloween. The place is the family home of young Jeremy Jenkins. Jeremy has just overheard his mother loudly complaining to his father about stores displaying Christmas decorations too early - nearly two months before Christmas...commercializing the blessed holiday! Jeremy writes a letter to Santa Claus asking if he can find a way to help his mother be happy again. Santa decides to teach Jeremy and his mother about the beginnings of Christmas Traditions, which of course requires an exciting time travel trip in his sleigh. They travel back in time to the 1100's and 1400's to see the first Christmas Trees and finally...travel all the way back in time to Bethlehem to witness the very first Christmas. Santa explains how this is the birthplace of many of today's Christmas Traditions...even early Christmas shopping! What transpires is an enchanting and heartwarming tale with a lesson for children of all ages: Christmas Traditions were created because of that one Holy Night and Man's love of God. And as long as one remembers the reason, Christmas Traditions can be embraced during any season! PRAISE FOR THE AUTHOR: "I loved the first tow books in this series and love this one even more! What a powerful way to share that Christmas is so much more than one day a year...it's embracing the Christmas Spirit each and every day. Such a wonderful lesson to be taught in such a charming way." --- D. D. Scott, International Bestselling Author
