Hilario and his two sisters were faced with a tragedy at a young age when they lost their mother. Although they were poor, they were raised by their aunt who took care of them like they were her own children. Hilario was granted with an opportunity to work at a chicken breeding farm for an important man, known as The Old Oak. Hilario's life transformed when the Old Oak was elected as the mayor of the second most prominent city of the county. Just when things turned for the better for Hilario, he encounters a setback when he discovers that his sister is having an affair with the farm manager. Unable to control his temper, Hilario beats up the man and gets fired from his job. When the farm is stricken by thieves, Hilario is implicated with a crime he didn't commit. Betrayed and confused, Hilario is faced with a choice between saving his life or preserving his integrity, tortured almost to death he confessed to a crime he never committed spending years in prison.
