For as long as she can remember, Katie has been interested in hearing about people's real and enduring love stories. Upon meeting new friends, she often asks how a couple met, became engaged, and what they believe makes their marriage work. For decades, it has been Katie's dream to write this special book about real and enduring human love. She finally got brave, and asked to talk with some of the most solidly married people she knows. She sat down with eight individuals and couples; and through a series of extensive interviews, Katie asked each of them about their beginnings, their loving feelings as well as their disagreements, their joys, and even their inevitable heartbreak. Though some of these stories have similarities, they're also each quite unique. No one she interviewed was born into wealth, and no one has completely avoided trouble.
