Shattered Ground is told from the perspective of four young men who enthusiastically enlist in the Canadian army during the First World War and believe they are embarking on a great adventure. The 'War to end all Wars' embodied death and destruction on an industrial scale, in breadth and scope never before seen in human history. As the modern world continues to experience conflict, Shattered Ground is still relevant and resonates today as seen through the prism of events that took place over a century ago.
