Bug's Life
Shaun Hayes-Holgate
What if a VW Beetle could talk and tell you its life story from its birth in a German factory to its final days being recycled and reborn as a new bug? This is Bug's life story. The story of one little car who lived through four decades of American history.
Using 34 detailed, colourful, illustrations we witness Bug's life as the little car is born and assembled, transported to America and then driven by a variety of characters who represent the decade they live in. Using a unique fixed camera view readers can spot the differences as Bug endures scratches, crashes, rebuilds and recycling over the years.
The author has made every effort to ensure accurate historical detail in presenting this realistic tale of the worlds most famous car. This historical account will appeal to Auto fans, History buffs and kids of all ages. Parents and teachers introducing children to history will find Bug's life a convenient 'vehicle' to understanding what life was like in post war America.
