For over a hundred years, the ideas Jose Ingenieros have been kept secret, mainly because of a language barrier. Until now, his works have never been translated to English. This book aims at presenting the life and philosophical ideas of Jose Ingenieros while comparing them to those of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Most importantly, this work bridges a gap between Latin American philosophy and pragmatism. This book is intended for Latin American philosophy classes and as an introduction to the ideas of Jose Ingenieros.
