The contamination of groundwater resources by organic pollutants especially pesticides has increased environmental concern over past couple of decades. The contamination of drinking water poses the most significant health risk, resulting in countless diseases. In the risk assessment process, understanding the sources and pathways for contaminants in the environment is a crucial step in addressing (and to cater) uncertainty associated with estimating the likelihood of exposure to contaminants.
