Appreciative Inquiry in Social Work: Theories and Practices
Stefan Cojocaru
The topic of services provided for vulnerable and disadvantaged populations has always pushed specialists towards finding ways of solving social problems or at least of mitigating them. This book aims to explore forms of implementing social intervention in the social protection of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations, by using problem-centred methods and appreciative intervention methods. From our previous work in theory and research, we propose two angles for approaching social reality: the problem-centred perspective (forms taken by the intervention when approached from the efficiency paradigm perspective) and the appreciative perspective (appreciative inquiry, appreciative supervision and case management).
