cervical cancer is a global public health problem and the third most common cancer in women and the seventh overall, which predominantly occur in resource-poor countries; affecting poor, vulnerable, and HIV positive women at the prime of life. In Ethiopia it is also the most prevalent cancer of women with limited intervention on prevention. The main objective of this study is to assess cervical cancer preventive knowledge, screening practice and factors associated with knowledge of women living with HIV/AIDS in Addis Ababa. A Cross-sectional study design by using systematic random sampling method was carried out among 488 women?s living with HIV/AIDS in Addis Ababa at five governmental Hospitals. Among the study subjects 71.7% had ever heard about cervical cancer. Mass media is the main source of the information (33.6%). But only 13.8% (95%CI: 10.9, 17.09) of them possess the prevention knowledge of the median and above value and only 2.7% of the respondent ever had screening practice. Preventive knowledge and screening practice of the respondents to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer is too low. Thus, these results call to the responsible bodies for creation of awareness.
