Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions for Integrating Technology in Content Areas

As an instructional technologist, Dr. Jacquelyn Cyrus teaches pre-service teachers how to incorporate technology within their curricula and she researches their perceptions of how these tasks are actually accomplished. Teaching and researching in the areas of assistive and adaptive technology includes her involvement in areas as wide-ranging as low to high tech tools for assisting individuals in their daily tasks to adapting tools for completion of those tasks. Her research in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) crosses many disciplines with a wide variety of technology possibilities from which to investigate. In addition, she teaches students how to explore and evaluate computer and other digital resources as they become information literate citizens of the 21st century. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Dr. Cyrus currently makes her home on the beautiful, tropical island of Guam.
