Engineering Calculation of Hydrodynamic Plain Bearings: Theory and Practice of Experiment Methods and Devices for Measurement of Elastohydrodynamic Parameters of Plain Bearing
Vladyslav Vlastopulo
The experimental data, received at the synchronous measurement of oil temperature, lubricant layer thickness and hydrodynamical pressures distribution on the circumferential of plain bearing confirmed the earlier detected regularities of each one's variation. The experimentally received temperature distribution in lubricant layer of plain bearing let to specify the values of middle oil temperatures in loaded and unloaded zones in comparison with bushes' temperatures in these zones on depth (0.8÷1) mm on 2÷6°C. Definitely, the maximal oil temperature values can exceed the middle on 2÷10°C. Experimentally received lubricant layer thickness distribution on circumference of plain bearing in real time do not need decipher on calibration device. Experimentally received hydrodynamical pressures distribution in lubricant layer with the help of magnetoelastic sensor, which is distortion-free for the oil layer, lets to judge about bush deformation. The suggested methodology of thermal calculation lets to determine the middle value of temperatures in loaded and unloaded zones with enough for practice accuracy.
