Even though the number of women executives increasing year by year due to education and other global changes, the representation of women in executive position is low. Those who reach to these token positions experienced a strange environment and lack of role models lead them to dilemma. Therefore the persistence of gender role stereotyping, stress and strains due to unnecessary tension and anxiety in the working place and home become a great problem for the individual, family and ultimately the society. So it is very essential to study the challenges of women executives in Kerala which may through light to planning and policy making for women in executive positions. Data for the empirical study was collected mainly through questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of the major factors such as dual roles, job satisfaction, sexual harassment, gender difference,career aspirations, conditions of work, role of family, power an related issues, stress , health problems etc. The researcher tried to measure the stress level, for that a comprehensive stress Assessment scale was used. The tool developed for the present study consisted of twenty five items which was self administered.
