Performance Evaluation of Turbo Codes: Based on Medium Dependence: Dr. Seema Verma

Turbo codes, introduced in 1993 are error correcting codes, and are only recently being employed in some of the communication protocols. In this book, the results of the simulation studies of their performance dependence on medium have been reported. The studies have been made for the communication channels twisted pair, coaxial cable, microwaves & optical fibers and the results obtained from a study on performance evaluation of medium dependence of Turbo Codes have been presented. Communication through Twisted pair, Coaxial cable, Microwaves & Optical fibers have been simulated by modeling the channel and the performance of Turbo Codes have been studied with varying S/N ratio as applicable in practical situations.
