The main objective was to evaluate the practice of self-measurement of blood pressure (AMT) by general practitioners in Aveyron 6 months after the issue of an AMT device by the health insurance. A computerised self-questionnaire was sent to the 137 GPs who had received the AMT device. Results: 84 doctors replied. 75% of the doctors had already used the LMO before. The blood pressure collection scheme was validated in 57% of cases. A test is carried out with the patient in 92% of cases. The average of the measurements is calculated in 50% of the cases. The hypertension definition threshold of 135/85 mmHg was used in 42% of cases. The contraindications remain poorly known. In order to harmonise practices, we propose a document summarising the good AMT conditions to be made available to general practitioners.
