Teaching the speech act compliment in a foreign audience

The subject of the research is one of the indispensable components of modern communication, a means of harmonization of interpersonal interaction - a compliment. In the first chapter, the compliment is considered within the framework of the theory of speech acts, the theory of speech genres and in the structure of speech etiquette and communicative behavior. The second chapter is devoted to a comprehensive study of the compliment, describing the pragmatic characteristics of the situation in which it is used, and identifying the linguistic means used in its implementation in speech. The basis of this chapter is a methodologically oriented classification of initiative and reactive speech moves of a compliment. The third chapter presents the analysis of textbooks and textbooks on Russian as a foreign language, describes the principles of teaching the speech act "compliment" in a foreign audience and offers a methodologically tested system of teaching this speech act in the framework of the second certification level. This work is intended for Russian language philologists and teachers of Russian as a foreign language.
