The teaching of the mother tongue is of special importance because it contributes to the formation of identity and lays the foundations of a system of knowledge necessary for social life; today the proliferation of errors in texts written or copied by a considerable number of schoolchildren is a current concern of different social sectors. It is the teacher's responsibility to ensure that the student knows how to listen, speak, read and write according to the demands of the objectives, however, in practice there are difficulties that denote inadequacies in the direction of the teaching-learning process; this led to identify as a scientific problem of social connotation how to contribute to improve the direction of learning spelling in Primary Education, whose solution requires the categorical apparatus of the Didactics of the Mother Tongue, as a science of the teaching-learning process special to this discipline. In a first approach to the problem from the theoretical point of view, it is reflected on the relations between science, technology, society, spelling learning management and the improvement of the primary teacher.
