Comparative analysis of I. A. Bunin's short story Mr. from San Francisco into English

This paper is devoted to the comparative analysis of English translations ofIvan Bunin'sshort story"Mr. from San Francisco". This study examines different trends in the translationofRussian classics into English in diachronic perspective. The main focus is on the analysis of translation solutions and strategies, Identification of common features of translation: structural transformations vs.preservation of particle preferences and author's constructions which are notStructural transformations vs. preservation of particle preferences and author's constructions which are not characteristic for the English language.
