As in the preceding volumes, the professor of geography and history discourses on these subjects to the pupils, conveying to them a great deal of useful information concerning the countries they visit. The surgeon of the ship is a sort of encyclopædia of travel; and, while he is on shore with a couple of the juvenile officers, he enlightens them by his talk on a great variety of topics; and the description of "sights" is given in these conversations, or in the "waits" between the speeches. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection.
