Katie always believed that every part of her life was segmented into imaginary bridges. When that part of her life was over, she always noted it as "burning the bridge behind her." Regrettably, there would be no return to her past and it was "gone forever." Also, Katie's error in judgment, drove her down the path of shame, embarrassment and humiliation. That was the day which propelled her into her staid life of infamy. She felt the shame and dishonor was hers, solely due to her ineptness. Would her apathetic and passive life ever allow her to return to her world of love, and happiness? But first, she had to reckon with years of agony, anguish and distress, including the bridge she had left burning many years ago. Although Joe never "blamed Katie" for the break-up, as he owned much of the fault. But, his low- key personality never translated to being aggressive or assertive in any way. Thus leaving Katie to fight her battle alone. Could the years of "sentimental loneliness" ever be recovered?
