Empty nesting left me empty. Becoming a mother and a wife was something I always wanted and desired for my life. Thirty years ago, I met and married the love of my life. Together, we raised four children. But my blessings turned into the burden that almost destroyed me. In this poetic memoir, I want to share my perspective with the men and children who struggle with understanding the meaning of Queendom. Moreover, I want to encourage all women who feel overworked, under-appreciated, and taken for granted-- those who have forgotten they are Queens. We, as women, carry everything from the babies for nine months to the guilt we feel when things fall apart. To all my sisters: Go and reclaim your Queendom! Seek to change the things you can-- as for the rest of the $#!+, LET IT GO!
