Lucky Jack John J Crowley

John "Jack" Crowley was born in 1982 with a rare and severe heart defect. He was missing a pulmonary valve and had a large hole between his ventricles. Lucky for Jack, his nurses noticed that there was something wrong. Jack was able to receive a corrective surgery, called a Fontan, at the world-renowned Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. After his successful surgery and with the encouragement of his parents, he lived his adolescent years without limitations, never feeling burdened by his heart. In his mid-20s, Jack faced a few setbacks, experiencing atrial fibrillation and receiving several cardioversions. Throughout the years, Jack has learned to overcome anxiety and has now returned to his former worry-free self. This is the story of Lucky Jack.
