Nari Reno thought her hike through her favorite stomping grounds of the Olympic National Forest would be like any other she had before. It wasn't so when a pair of drunk hunters stumbled into her path far from home. The aftermath of this encounter made her wish she had stayed dead, that her being less than alive would stick this time. Seeing the world for what it truly was for the first time upon leaving the hospital, Nari is forced through a change that she never asked for. Nothing is what it was anymore as the veil is dropped and she finds that humans are not the only species living on this planet called Earth. Faced with a deep-seated and irrational dislike on the parts of humans, she must now figure out how to fit into this world. Or find the place that calls for her. A place simply called Home.
