Selena Myers made a deal with the Santanos mafia family five years ago to save a life. Two years' later, she's an undercover detective for the New York Police organized crime department. Selena gets a call from the mafia to make evidence in the form of some documents in a language she didn't fully understand disappear. With no contact from the mafia for the next three years, Selena assumes her debt has been repaid except uncanny deaths are appearing around the state with a symbol she only ever saw in those documents. Suddenly, her little sister becomes incarcerated for being caught at one of the crime scenes.

With her reputation now at stake and her life and her siblings' life suddenly haunted, the only thing that seems constant is Gino. The shadow vigilante who sits in the corner of her favorite coffee shop staring at her with eyes darker than Lucifer's. To find her sister's perpetrator, Selena and Gino ventures to the underground crime realm to track the illusive mafia head. They're successful but more questions and trouble begin to arise when they find out that the Santanos mafia family disbanded three years ago...
