Overcame is a memoir of Ty's experiences from her former life to her renewal in Christ. She made the hard journey from poverty, rape, abortions, fornication, and the thug mentality to a much more peaceful way of thinking and being. She shares an up close and personal account of her expedition out of mental bondage, depression, and hopelessness. She recounts her ups and downs as a single mother and the process of a woman who chose to heal from relationship trauma and dysfunction that started in her childhood. She encourages other women young and old, who are currently or have been in similar circumstances to believe that life gets easier and to overcome by making the decision to put yourself first and be the cycle breaker. She believes the hard trials you face are not the only option you have and that you can make it through anything if you trust God and continue to take the right steps that lead you on a higher path. Ty wants to see a lot more women and families get healed, delivered, and set free and what more fitting way than to be a voice for the voiceless, the forgotten, the broken, and the unloved. Believe in your heart that you are worth it and you too can OVERCOME!
