1250 BC. The Late Bronze Age. It is a turbulent time in Europe. The rise and fall of empires depends on the equal economic trade from north to south. One such important exchange takes place on the Amber Roads, running from the people of the Baltic Sea, down to the Mycenae in the Mediterranean. But the settlement of Biskupin, which sits at a dire crossroads on the Amber Roads, is playing deadly games. Whiteshanks, an aging Chief of the Biskupin, is in need of wives for his two sons in order to ensure his prosperous legacy. One wife has come in the form of a stolen slave daughter from the Chief of the Rygir. The second wife, already wed to another powerful chief in the north, the Sea King, has just been taken into the walled settlement of Biskupin. Now an army of the north has been raised to rescue the stolen women at all costs, but the army is loose in structure under the Sea King. The men will fight though for the fearsome warrior Kari, Chief of the Skaane, who just so happens to hate the Sea King. Back and forth fighting over the stolen women seems to be getting nowhere fast as Biskupin's defenses are virtually impenetrable. The only way to make any progress will be out on neutral ground. The war travels up the Amber Roads to the wetlands of Tollense, but it is clear a slaughter will have to take place for anything to change. Who will be left standing when it's all over on Europe's oldest battlefield?
