Life Made Simple is a compilation of inspirational poetry with a corresponding life short story. Some years ago, I began writing reflective poems. This led to my first attempt at self publishing. The first book was entitled God Speaks! Are You Listening?. The book was organized in a topical form but also provided 40 days of daily reading and reflection. The second book has an interesting twist to it as it came out of a result of the passing of my first wife, Brenda. I was journaling during my time of grief trying to come to grips with the huge void in the relationship part of my life. And while I was in the midst of this trying time, a writer friend of mine told me just to write. He indicated it was important not to read what I had written. He said just write. While I thought this was a puzzling statement at the time, it turned out to be correct. At some point, like Forest Gump, I just stopped and my reflections sort of stopped. After I remarried, I printed my journal for my current wife, Jackie, and asked her to read it. As she would discover things about me of which she had yet discovered. Well, to my surprise, after she completed reading it, she said I should publish it. I told her I had not read it. Well, I read it and finished it in 30 minutes. It was titled What Faith Is NOT!. And so the story continues through Life Made Simple
