Sometimes you have to go somewhere you've never been to find out who you really are.
Angel enjoys his status as a star high school football player. But some bad luck changes that. Now, he must complete 90 hours of community service in the band room. Rejected by his coach and teammates, Angel finds himself in a place with new people and new ideas. Meanwhile, his mother's increasingly erratic behavior has turned her into someone Angel no longer recognizes.
In his first novel, Bob Seay pits tribalism, anger, and hate against diversity, acceptance, and compassion while reminding us that everyone is doing the best they can.
