Take a journey with me. It's the journey called life that all of us are on. Childhood, high school, young love first love, and suddenly you are an adult. Marriage, work, kids, happiness and sorrow as life moves on, and suddenly you are facing the senior years wondering where did the time go. This is my story in verse., and I would venture to say in a lot of ways it mirrors your story. You will meet some famous people in Ali ( page 149 ) and Marty Robbins ( page 160 ) as well as those that will inspire you such as George Adams Jefferson ( page 150. ) The poem An Angel In Sams Club ( page 72 ) is touchingly beautiful. Poems such as Finger Lickin' Good ( page112 ) portray one of my many embarrassing moments. In Looking Beyond The Rearview Mirror the reader will get an honest look at life with some humor, facts, and a bit of opinion thrown in. So sit back, relax, get ready for some nostalgia, laughter, a few tears, but always looking forward to better ways and better days. I sincerely hope you enjoy the writings in this book. They are true and from the heart, and just maybe they will cause you to smile and say "yeah, been there, done that." May you look to the past with pride, live today to the fullest, always looking forward to what tomorrow brings. ET Biddix
